• Come join us for our January general body meeting of the North Florida AMS/NWA. This meeting will feature WTXL ABC27HD Chief Meteorologist Casanova Nurse.
  As usual refreshments will be served at 7pm in the lounge outside of LOV353, and the meeting will start promptly at 7:30pm. We have some important things to talk about regarding the upcoming national AMS conference, so we hope to see you all there!

The 2010-2011 year marks the chapter's 9th year of existence. In our first eight years, our programs have been recognized by the national AMS in receiving mention on the Local Chapter Honor Roll in 2003-2004, 2006-2007, and 2009-2010; and their ultimate honor, Local Chapter of the Year in 2004-2005, 2007-2008 and most recently in 2008-2009.

We work closely with local area schools, community outreach organizations, the Florida State University Department of Meteorology, the Tallahassee Weather Forecast Office of the National Weather Service, educational/outreach organizations, and local television stations to promote meteorology within the community.
